Event Profile: TechCrunch20

name: TechCrunch20
date: Sept 17,18 2007
location: San Fransisco CA
produced by: the folks at the TechCrunch blog

It seems anyone and everyone that is interested in new internet technology is an avid reader Michael Arrington’s TechCrunch blog. Well, Michael has decided to parlay his blog kingdom into a first ever, full blown TechCrunch conference. Similar to Finovate below, the TechCrunch20 conference will had pick 20 innovative companies (from a pool of more that 700! submissions from over 20 countries), and give them each 6 minutes to give it their all in a demo. The sponsors and panelists are the who’s who from Tech.

At this time, the selected companies have not been announced, and we have heard that TechCrunch is keeping this info under wraps until the conference actually starts!

That means we are not sure if there are any companies/products in the financial service industry who will be presenting. We will stay on top of this and cover/analyze any presentations in this space.

update: sounds like the TechCrunch20 has balooned to the TechCrunch40 !
